What Is Belly Fat And How To Get Rid Of It?
Where do most people want to lose weight? Most would say, around the belly. Yes, for most people, no matter how much pound they many gain, most of those extra pounds are around the belly. This is called: belly fat. For many of us who need to lose weight, we really need to lose belly fat.
We say that obesity is an epidemic, but it’s really belly fat that’s an epidemic. Yes, you may have fat on your arms, legs and other parts of your body, but the majority of this fat is found around your waist.
What build so much extra fat around your belly is an other epidemic and it is called, “the fast food epidemic“.
Do you know how much calories a typical fast food meal contains? A hamburger, fries and soda meal contain around 1000 calories. The average woman only requires 1800-2500 calories per day. Such fast food meal will also exceed both fat and sodium requirements by a large margin.
Those 1000 calories at the fast food restaurant will be consumed in less than half an hour. How long will it take to burn it off? Depending on your activity it will take your anywhere from 2-6 hours.
The problem with fast food is that on top of being high in calories it’s “empty calories“. When you feed your body with empty calories, the body turns to a starving more. You see, our body is a marvelous machine which knows how to protect itself for survival. When your body gets the signal that you are “starving“, it will store anything it can in anyway it can, and the results will be fat added to your body.
That extra fat, your body stores it on your belly, because that’s the core part of your body. That is how you build all that extra, unwanted belly fat around your belly. by consuming EMPTY calories with fast food products which give the wrong signal to your body, which in turns think that you are starving.
This is all part of the body’s built-in survival mechanism. The body needs to ensure that you stay alive; thus you get created fat around your belly.
